IT Minister Nara Lokesh says he is excited by the industrial progress in Andhra Pradesh. | Photo Credit: File Photo IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh, in a social media post, said that the ₹5,000-crore manufacturing unit of LG Electronics in Sri City was planned to go on stream by the end of 2026, with phased expansion through 2029 and that he was thrilled by this progress. He stated that land was handed over to the South Korean company in May 2025 and it had since moved at speed and scale. Spread over 247 acres, the Sri City unit was LG’s third plant in India, producing refrigerators, air-conditioners, washing machines and key components, strengthening manufacturing ecosystem and creating thousands of jobs in Andhra Pradesh. The HRD Minister said he was excited by this leap in industrial progress and that Andhra Pradesh would continue to deliver for investors and youth.
