Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan garlanding statue of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. G. Ramachandran on his birth anniversary. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT The birth anniversary of former Chief Minister and founder of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, M. G. Ramachandran, was celebrated in Puducherry on Saturday. Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan, Speaker R. Selvam, Minister for Public Works K. Lakshminarayanan, Deputy Speaker P. Rajavelu and legislators belonging to the ruling All India N R Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party garlanded the statue of the former Chief Minister near the New Bus Stand. Separately, the AIADMK workers led by party’s Puducherry unit secretary A. Anbalagan took out a procession and garlanded the statue. They also garlanded the statue of Mr. Ramachandran at the party office near Uppalam and distributed sweets.
