Stating that Kerala has been completely ignored in the Union Budget, Kerala Congress (M) chairman Jose K. Mani on Sunday reiterated that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) remains committed to raising the support price of natural rubber to ₹250. “The government is facing severe financial constraints, yet the support price has been increased by up to ₹200. With additional support from the Centre, it could be raised further to ₹300,” he said. Mr Mani was addressing the media here in connection with the LDF’s Central Zone rally. He pointed out that not a single scheme for which Kerala is eligible has been implemented by the Centre over the past ten years. Mr. Mani also accused the Union government of acting in line with the dictates of US President Donald Trump. “The Union government must grant Kerala what it is rightfully entitled to. Only then can the State move forward,” he said.
