The scheme aims at enhancing digital access and support skill development among college students. During the programme, the institution highlighted its performance in placements and innovation-led activities. The placement cell presented appointment letters to 12 graduating students who secured employment with reputable companies such as Zoho Corporation, Infosys Ltd., Anthem Biosciences, and Lumeneo Services, with annual salary packages ranging from ₹3.5 lakh to ₹22 lakh, according to an official release. Members of start-ups incubated at the EDII–Anna Business Incubation Research Foundation (EDII-ABIRF) were felicitated. As part of the recognition, Jayapriya, winner of MSME Idea Hackathon 4.0, received a ₹12.75-lakh sanction order while Ramadevi, winner of MSME Idea Hackathon 2.0, was recognised for completing her drone pilot certification from Garuda Aerospace. Sanction orders under the Tamil Nadu government’s Innovation Voucher Programme implemented by EDII-ABIRF were presented to incubated members Deepak Chandrasekaran of Modern Molecular Diagnostics, Praveen Xaviour Pandiyan of Microbial Farm Research Consultancy, and T. Rajamanikandan of Greenlips Foods and Packages. The event featured the logo launch of start-ups Bite n Beyond and Zibox Networks Technologies. A solar-powered smart bench developed by Sortyx Ventures Pvt. Ltd., and the mobile application ‘Choose Your Cars’ by RESA Cars Pvt. Ltd. were premiered during the programme. Nehru distributes laptops Minister for Municipal Administration K. N. Nehru distributed the laptops to 232 students of the Government Arts and Science College at Kumulur in Lalgudi taluk on Saturday. A total of 18,985 students are to get laptops in the first phase in Tiruchi district this year, according to an official release.
