The special court for POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act cases in Tirunelveli on Thursday sentenced to death a labourer found guilty of sexually assaulting three girls aged 6, 7 and 8. According to prosecution, the accused Anand Sekar, 41, of Alagiripuram under Melapalayam police station limits in Tirunelveli City took the girls to an unoccupied house in the area in 2023 and sexually assaulted them. He also threatened the children not to reveal this to anyone.
