Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) Commissioner P. Viswanatha has asked the officials and staff of secretariats to conduct field visits on a daily basis to identify the problems and resolve them. The Commissioner on Monday (February 09) visited Nirmala Nagar in 34th ward of the city and inspected the conditions there. On the occasion, he asked officials to ensure that the lands allocated for parks are not encroached and protect them parks from encroachers. He wanted officials to make sure that drinking water supply pipelines does not pass through sewer lines. There should not be any complaint related to contamination of water, he told the officials and made it clear that these kind of problems, if any, will come to the notice of the officials only if they conduct field visits. Mr. Viswanatha found the drainage line passing opposite the IV Town police station in a bad state and expressed his anger over the officials concerned for their negligence. He asked officials to be responsible and work in coordination to resolve the problems concerning the city.
