Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said that a focused strategy was being put in place to develop the Kuppam Assembly constituency into a major industrial and investment hub in Andhra Pradesh.

Interacting with a group of industrialists, the Chief Minister said that 21 industrial units would be established in Kuppam with a total investment of ₹7,684 crore, creating 35,545 direct and 44,584 indirect employment opportunities. He said a strong and industry-friendly ecosystem had already been created in the constituency to ensure time-bound execution of projects and sustained industrial growth.

Highlighting Kuppam’s strategic location at the tri-State junction bordering Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Mr. Naidu said development in the constituency should move into an “autopilot mode”, backed by robust infrastructure and policy stability. He added that long-term water security had been ensured through the Handri-Neeva canal system, which draws water from the Srisailam reservoir.

Outlining plans to expand renewable energy generation, the Chief Minister said the government was promoting solar power generation on rooftops and farmlands, in addition to large-scale solar, wind and pumped storage projects. He also called for initiatives in green ammonia production, with a focus on ensuring low-cost power generation.

Mr. Naidu said Andhra Pradesh was promoting manufacturing of components related to drones, space technology, electronics and medical devices in a mission mode, and had been successful in attracting large investments in data centres. Reiterating the government’s vision for Amaravati, he said the capital city would be developed as a “Quantum Valley”, with plans for quantum computing operations and manufacturing.

The Chief Minister urged industrialists associated with the development of the Kuppam region to adhere strictly to project timelines, and said the constituency was steadily emerging as a competitive investment destination.
