Kumbalanghi grama panchayat’s Budget has put a strong emphasis on providing housing for the homeless through the LIFE Mission project, with an allocation of ₹1.30 crore while also prioritising social welfare. The Budget presented by vice-president Margaret Lawrence announced a ‘Clean Kumbalanghi-Green Kumbalanghi’ project in collaboration with the Kochi Corporation and Clean Kerala company. The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme is projected to receive ₹2.10 crore. The Budget anticipates a total revenue of ₹46.22 crore. Panchayat president Shaji Kuruppassery led the session.
