Six students were felicitated for securing top ranks and having exceptional academic performance in diverse disciplines ranging from medicine and engineering to science and performing arts. Each awardee received a cash prize of ₹5,000 along with a certificate of appreciation from the corporation. Minister for Transport Ramalinga Reddy presented an additional cash reward of ₹20,000 to each of the six students. The programme also highlighted the Sarige Vidya Chetana Scheme, implemented to support the education of the children of the KSRTC employees. Under the scheme, scholarships worth ₹2.76 crore have been awarded to 5,450 students so far.
