The Department of Media Studies at Kristu Jayanti (Deemed-to-be university) here recently held a two-day international media conference titled “Media, Culture and Identity: Exploring Global Narratives and Intersections”, bringing together media professionals, academicians and students to deliberate on the evolving role of media in shaping culture and identity in a globalised world. In his presidential address, Vice-Chancellor Augustine George highlighted the powerful role of media in constructing and representing identities. He emphasised that media significantly influences cultural narratives and plays a crucial role in shaping how societies perceive identity in a rapidly globalising environment.
