Konkan Railway Corporation Limited’s Regional Railway Manager-Karwar Asha Shetty and MP Kota Srinivas Poojary hand over the key of a multi-utility vehicle to Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar in Udupi on February 20, 2026. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) presented a multi-utility vehicle to Udupi district police under its corporate social responsibility initiative. Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Member of Parliament Kota Srinivas Poojary and KRCL Regional Railway Manager-Karwar Asha Shetty handed over the vehicle’s key to Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar at the district police headquarters in Udupi on February 20. According to a statement from the MP’s office, the vehicle would be deployed for the use of Kota Police Station. KRCL responded to the request by the MP to provide an MUV to the district police. Additional SP Sudhakar S Naik, KRCL Senior Enginer Gopalakrishnan and Public Relations Manager Sudha Krishnamurthi and others were present.
