The State government has accorded administrative sanction of ₹10.28 crore for the renovation of four major roads in Kozhikode.

Public Works Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas said that funds had been allocated for road repair works in Kozhikode North, Beypore, Elathur and Kuttiadi Assembly constituencies.

An amount of ₹3.15 crore has been sanctioned for upgrading the Kannadikkal–Paroppadi–Chevarambalam road in Kozhikode North constituency to BM and BC standards. In Beypore, ₹1.50 crore has been allocated for the Government ITI Road.

In Elathur constituency, ₹3.87 crore has been sanctioned for resurfacing the Kappad–Thusharagiri–Adivaram road to make it motorable.

Meanwhile, ₹1.50 crore has been allocated for repairing the Villiappally–Edacheri–Iringannur road in Kuttiadi constituency. The funds have been sanctioned to upgrade a one-kilometre stretch starting from Villyappally town to BM and BC standards.
