Polling for the 16th Kerala Assembly election will take place on Thursday, beginning at 7 a.m. and continuing until 6 p.m. Strong security and logistical arrangements have been put in place across all 12 constituencies in the district.

Palakkad has 22.68 lakh registered voters, including 11.12 lakh men, 11.56 lakh women and 20 transgender voters. A total of 2,531 polling stations have been set up, up from 2,112 in the 2021 election. Each booth will have a maximum of 1,200 voters. There are 25 pink booths and one specially designed for differently abled voters.
