The accused, Dhiresh Kutum (27), a native of Assam, was nabbed allegedly red-handed during a raid near Mylasandra, close to Electronic City. The drugs were seized from a house in Ramesh Reddy Layout. Investigators said the accused supplied MDMA disguised as food parcels and cereal packs, posing as delivery personnel from food aggregators. The arrest follows a recent operation by the Kerala Police in Malappuram district, where eight persons were arrested a week ago with 1 kg of MDMA. During the interrogation, the accused reportedly revealed details about Dhiresh, identified as the alleged kingpin of the network. The police said Dhiresh’s brother-in-law is a Nigerian national who allegedly facilitated the procurement and movement of MDMA to Assam. From there, the drugs were routed through Dhiresh’s sister and distributed to Kerala and Karnataka. So far, nine persons have been arrested in connection with the case by Kerala police, and a total of 3 kg of MDMA has been seized. The case has been registered under the Malappuram Police Station limits in Kerala. Further investigation is under way.
