A new web portal has been launched for the Kerala Health department for disseminating official and authentic information on the department’s initiatives as well as the State’s health statistics. The portal, health.kerala.gov.in., developed by C-DIT, was formally launched by Health Minister Veena George. The portal integrates the websites of 10 departments and 30 institutions functioning under the Health department. It is expected to serve as a reliable and user-friendly platform to provide authentic information, official notifications, and details of ongoing activities in all these departments and institutions to the public, Ms. George said. The portal has a dynamic dashboard, highlighting demographic transitions and key indicators in Kerala’s health sector, complete with graphs and statistics. Relevant laws, latest guidelines, and government orders related to the Health department can also be accessed through the portal. In addition, the portal also provides links to public health awareness messages, posters and informative videos and other informational resources.
