The Kerala High Court on Friday quashed a State government order that had denied sanction for a CBI probe into the ₹600-crore cashew import scam. A Bench of Justice A. Badharudeen further summoned the Principal Secretary of the Industries department (Cashew) A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish to appear before it on May 18 in a contempt plea that had been initiated following the denial of sanction for the CBI probe into the alleged corruption in the import of raw cashew between 2006 and 2015 by Kerala Cashew Board.
