Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday met with a Sri Lankan delegation touring the State. Chief Secretary A. Jayathilak, Ministers K.N. Balagopal, K. Krishnankutty, and A.K. Saseendran, and CPI(M) general secretary M.A. Baby shared their thoughts on various topics with the Sri Lankan delegation, which consisted of two MPs and officials. The six-member delegation, led by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, reached here as special guests. Sri Lankan MPs Kitnan Selvaraj and K. Ilankumaran; People’s Liberation Front general secretary M. Tilvin Silva; Central committee member and Inter-Company Employees’ Union general secretary Janaka Adhikari; media unit head Hemathilaka Gamage; and committee member for international relations B.R. Kalpana Madhubhashini were the members of the group. The team, which arrived in New Delhi on February 5, arrived in Kerala after completing visits to Delhi and Ahmedabad. After various official programmes, the team will return to Colombo on Thursday, said a statement.
