With the support of over 100 viewing supervisors, the control room at the District Planning Office in Kozhikode functioned as the third eye ensuring a close monitoring of live feeds from various polling stations across the district on Thursday (April 9, 2026). More than 25 screens were arranged to ensure a flawless monitoring of webcasting from all the 13 Assembly constituencies.

IT Mission officials said four viewing supervisors were assigned to each constituency to monitor the live feeds throughout the voting period. District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh was also present to ensure the prompt functioning of the video surveillance team.

“The big screens were arranged in such a way as to receive live feeds from 12 cameras. There were also a sufficient number of laptops for the coordinating team members,” said an official from the National Informatics Centre. He also added there were no technical glitches throughout the working hours.
