Voters heading to three specially prepared polling stations in Malappuram district on Thursday (April 9, 2026) are in for a uniquely sweet experience—literally. At Government College, Malappuram (booth 152), Government Higher Secondary School, Manjeri (booth 138), and Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, Wandoor (booth 74), the district administration will hand out toffees along with a congratulatory card to every voter who casts their ballot. But the sweetness goes beyond treats. These three booths are 100% differently abled-friendly, fully managed and supported by persons with disabilities (PwD).
