United Democratic Front (UDF) Kozhikode district chairman K. Balanarayanan and Youth Congress and Kerala Students Union activists have filed complaints against the Left Democratic Front (LDF) campaigners, accusing them of using communal references against UDF candidate from Perambra, Fathima Thahiliya. The complaints were filed with Election Commission authorities and the local police. It was alleged that announcements with communal overtones were heard from the LDF’s campaign vehicle. Ms. Thahiliya is contesting against LDF convener and incumbent MLA T.P. Ramakrishnan here.
