A comprehensive probe is under way into a few suspected incidents of impersonation and bogus voting reported by leaders of some political parties in Kozhikode district. The police and the election authorities have started gathering digital evidence on multiple complaints to ensure a fair probe into the complaints. According to police sources, complaints have come up from urban and rural constituencies. Within the Kozhikode city limits, leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have filed complaints on alleged bogus voting in the Beypore constituency.
