A group of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers led by party councillor Sindhu Rajan blocked United Democratic Front (UDF) candidate Ramesh Pisharody during electioneering at Vadakkanthara in Palakkad on Wednesday (April 1, 2026). Mr. Pisharody said that the BJP blocked his freedom of movement in an undemocratic action. “BJP workers prevented me from asking votes as a candidate in Palakkad,” he said. He said he would not seek legal remedy against the BJP move. “Let people evaluate it,” he said.
