Kauvery cardiac team carries out risky procedure to save pregnant mother and foetus

Doctors at Kauvery Heartcity performed a high-risk ‘Alcohol Septal Ablation’ procedure to save the life of a pregnant mother, who had thickened heart with severe obstruction to blood flow recently.

According to an official press release on Tuesday, the 21-year-old pregnant woman, was six months into her pregnancy when she was diagnosed with the genetic cardiac condition that had led to thickening of heart muscles and caused difficulty in breathing.
