The extension of the deadline for filing claims and objections, a senior GBA official said, will affect the electoral roll revision process by pushing back subsequent stages including data correction, quality checks, and final roll generation. | Photo Credit: File photo The Karnataka State Election Commission has extended the deadline for filing claims and objections to the ward-wise revised draft electoral rolls for the five city corporations under the Greater Bangalore Authority (GBA) to March 30. This is the second time the commission has extended the deadline, extending the overall objection period from 11 days to 21 days. Earlier, the final electoral roll was scheduled to be published on April 6. With the second deadline extension, there will be a 12-day delay in the overall timeline, officials said.
