Writer Ronald Roach Cascia. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT The 79-year-old writer, Ronald Roach Cascia, 89-year-old theatre personality Ramadas Dattatreya Gulwadi, and folk artist Sairu (Muralidhar) Puttu Naika will receive 2025 honorary awards in the fields of Konkani literature, Konkani Art, and Konkani Folk Art from Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy. The 2025 Pustaka Award in the Konkani Poetry category will be given to Andrew L. D’Cunha’s “Uzwadache Vengent”, while in prose category it will be given to Roshan Melki Sequeira’s “Konkani Circus”. The award in Konkani Short Stories category will be given to Richard Alwares’s “Phituri”.
