The meeting, held at the Zilla Panchayat auditorium in Bidar, turned tense within half an hour of its start, when the discussion moved towards the approval and implementation of a residential layout. Though details of the dispute remain unclear, it snowballed into a verbal spat between the leaders. The clash soon escalated, with both legislators allegedly hurling accusations and using abusive language at each other.
