At 9 a.m., Davanagere South constituency recorded a polling percentage of 9% and Bagalkot recorded 11.87% polling. The polls were necessitated by the deaths of senior Congress MLAs H.Y. Meti and Shamanur Shivashankarappa. Counting of votes will be taken up on May 4.
