Smarananand Swami, vice-president of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India, addressing the press in Dharwad on Tuesday (March 24). | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT The Kannada version of ‘Kriya Yoga’, popularised by Paramahamsa Yogananda and published by Yogoda Satsanga Society of India, will be released in Dharwad on Wednesday (March 25). Addressing the press in Dharwad on Tuesday (March 24), Smarananand Swami, vice-president of the society, said that the book release ceremony will be held at Hotel Mastiff Grand near Narendra Cross in Dharwad at 6 p.m. on March 25 and it will be followed by a discourse. The seer said that Kriya Yoga deals with with the balance of one’s mind and breath, adding that through techniques of breath control, the mind can also be controlled. Methods to improve memory, strengthening willpower, conquering bad habits, and health and diet principles have been dealt with at length in the book along with Rajayoga techniques and energising exercises, he said. He said that the book is already available in English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, and now, the book is being made available in Kannada. He explained that a mobile application had also been developed to help people register for it online and practice virtually.
