By Arrangement | Photo Credit: ARRANGEMENT The annual Brahmotsavams of Kadiri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Kadiri in Sri Sathya Sai district will commence on February 27. The temple, built during the late 14th century, attracts thousands of pilgrims during the annual festival. The Endowments Department has been making elaborate arrangements at Kadiri for the upcoming festival. The temple is reportedly considered to be one of the main Narasimha temples in South India, and is believed to house the self-manifested deity worshipped as Prahlada Sametha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. The temple authorities said that the festivities will begin with ‘Ankurarpana’ on February 27, followed by ‘Kalyanotsavam’ on February 28. A series of daily ‘Vahana Sevas’, including ‘Hamsa, Simha, Hanumantha, Brahma Garuda, Sesha, Surya-Chandra, Mohini, Praja Garuda, and Gaja Vahanams’, will be held till March 9. The highlight of the celebrations, the ‘Brahma Rathotsavam’, is scheduled for March 10, followed by ‘Alukotsavam’ and ‘Theerthavari’, which will mark the conclusion of the festival on March 12.
