Kabaddi competitions held as part of Sankranti festivities were inaugurated by Jana Sena Party (JSP) president and Anantapur-Hindupur Urban Development Authority (AHUDA) Chairman T.C. Varun in Anantapur on Saturday. JSP city secretaries Vallamsetti Ramana and Lal Swamy Rayal organised the competitions. Mr. Varun was introduced to the captains and players of the 25 participating teams before the start of the competitions. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Varun said the NDA government would give priority to sports and commended the JSP leaders for organising the event. He said that the winning team would be handed a good prize by the organisers.
