Jyoti Nivas College in Bengaluru has been conferred the Best Women’s Institution in NCC by the Karnataka and Goa Directorate, National Cadet Corps (NCC), in recognition of its outstanding contribution to leadership development and cadet training. | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement Jyoti Nivas College has been conferred the Best Women’s Institution Award in NCC for 2025–26 by the Karnataka and Goa Directorate, National Cadet Corps, recognising its excellence in cadet training and leadership development. Operating under the 1 Karnataka Girls Battalion NCC and guided by Colonel Vinay Ahluwalia, the college’s NCC unit has produced disciplined cadets, several of whom have joined the Indian Army as officers. The award was presented on February 4, at the Directorate’s annual felicitation ceremony in Bengaluru by Air Commodore S. B. Arun Kumar, VSM, Deputy Director General, NCC. The honour was received by the institution’s Principal Dr. Sr. Mary Louisa, Sr. Nathalia, administrators Sr. Sajitha, Sr. Sintea and Associate NCC Officer Capt. Dr. H. K. Roopa Rani.
