Jipmer Director Vir Singh Negi flagged off a rally taken out as part of events held to mark Jan Aushadhi Diwas on Saturday. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research has opened its fourth patient shelter on the campus. According to a release from the Institute, the facility was inaugurated by Jipmer Director Vir Singh Negi. Mr. Negi thanked the members of the Gothi Charitable Trust in Puducherry, for donating the patient shelter which was constructed at a cost of ₹15 lakh. The facility would be of use to hundreds of patients and their attendants visiting the hospital from various places, the release said.
