The Jacobite Syrian Christian Church has demanded an inquiry into the allegation that the police hadattacked its members following tension that prevailed at the St. Mary’s Church in Kattachira, near Kayamkulam, over the burial of a16-year-old boy on Sunday. Kuriakose Mar Theophilos, chairperson of the media cell of the Jacobite Church, said in a release on Wednesday that the incident amounted to violation of human rights of its members, including women and children.
