The Andhra Pradesh State Government Contract and Outsourcing Employees’ Federation on Sunday raised concern over issues related to “equal pay for equal work” and made a slew of demands to the State government, including implementation of equal pay norm and regularising all contract and outsourcing employees. At the federation’s fifth Mahasabha in Vijayawada, the members said a minimum basic pay should be implemented for everyone, outsourcing employees should be brought under the contract system, retirement age of employees should be increased to 62 years and welfare benefits should reach everyone.
