J. Venkata Rao has taken charge as the new Executive Officer (EO) of the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam in Simhachalam on Sunday. The outgoing in-charge E.O. N. Sujatha officially handed over the responsibilities to the new EO.

Mr. Venkata Rao along with his family visited the temple on Sunday and were accorded a traditional welcome by the temple priests and officials. The new EO offered prayers first at the Dhwajasthambam and later had darshan of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy.

After assuming office, Mr. Venkata Rao said; “Receiving an opportunity to serve at the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple is a result of my past life’s good deeds. Steps will be taken to ensure proper and quick darshan for devotees, and assured all amenities.” He added that the sanctity of the temple will be preserved, and transparent administration and overall development would be followed.

Inspection

After assuming charge, the new EO conducted an inspection of the temple, its surroundings and the annaprasadam centre. He also viewed the prasadam preparation process and the quality of ingredients being used. He inspected the stock registers and expressed satisfaction over the cleanliness maintained at the facility. The EO interacted with devotees who were having annaprasadam and sought their feedback. He enquired about the taste of the food and whether they were facing any inconvenience during distribution.

Mr. Venkata Rao, a native of Amudalavalasa, in Srikakulam district, has served in the Revenue Department since 1995. He has held various positions from Tahsildar to Deputy Collector, and also served in the Municipal Administration. Prior to this appointment Mr. Venkata Rao was District Revenue Officer (DRO) of Kakinada.
