The State government has accorded administrative sanction of ₹1,011.65 crore for the construction of 11 integrated school complexes, upgradation of 17 existing schools, and construction of additional classrooms. This follows the proposal by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for the education sector that was announced in the Budget on Friday.

Of the total amount, 30% will be allocated by the State government or through CSR funds, and 70% will be financed by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, a GO stated.

All the works are designated in Hyderabad’s Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) areas, comprising Medchal-Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, and Rangareddy districts.

The construction of 11 integrated school complex buildings, for classes from pre-primary to Class 12, has been allotted ₹496.75 crore. For the upgradation of 17 schools, including classrooms and infrastructure for pre-primary and Classes 11 and 12, ₹364.60 crore has been allocated.

The construction of 501 additional classrooms in the existing 164 government schools is budgeted at ₹150.30 crore, at ₹30 lakh per classroom.
