The DJB was also directed to deploy dedicated teams for “round-the-clock” vigilance and maintenance in high-density and vulnerable areas. “Ensure prompt response to public complaints regarding water quality, odour, taste, or discoloration, with on-ground verification and corrective action within the shortest possible time,” the direction said. The DJB manages the drinking water supply and sewage management in Delhi. Mr. Singh has also directed to conduct periodic audits of infrastructure to identify vulnerable sections and prioritize repairs or replacements to prevent any mixing of untreated water or external contaminants into the potable supply network.
