Indian Oil has made concerted efforts to ensure uninterrupted supply and efficient service delivery to LPG-powered vehicles during this challenging period

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Indian Oil) has announced that it has “significantly scaled up” its auto LPG supplies across Karnataka in response to a recent surge in demand, particularly following the closure or partial shutdown of several private Auto LPG outlets in Bengaluru and other parts of the state.

Indian Oil is currently meeting the fuel requirements of auto rickshaws and LPG-driven cars through its network of 55 Auto LPG Dispensing Stations (ALDS) spread across Karnataka. With over 300 outlets operated by private players reportedly closed or partially operational, a substantial portion of the demand has shifted to Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) outlets, the oil PSU said in a statement on Thursday.

Despite the increased operational load on its infrastructure, Indian Oil has made concerted efforts to ensure uninterrupted supply and efficient service delivery to LPG-powered vehicles during this challenging period, it claimed.

The average daily sales at Indian Oil’s ALDS in Karnataka have risen sharply to 59.53 metric tonnes (MT), compared to the previous three-month average of 43.4 MT, reflecting a significant increase in consumer demand, as per a communique issued by V Vetriselvakkumar, Chief General Manager (Corporate Communications), Indian Oil, Southern Regional Office.
