The new premium services are designed to offer urgent and guaranteed delivery solutions to both retail and bulk customers. | Photo Credit: FILE PHOTO India Post has introduced a new premium 24-hour and 48-hour Speed Post service, which was launched in Bengaluru on Tuesday by the Chief Postmaster General of Karnataka Postal Circle K. Prakash. The new premium services are designed to offer urgent and guaranteed delivery solutions to both retail and bulk customers. The 24-hour Speed Post service guarantees next-day delivery (D+1) between identified metro city pairs Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad. For now, this service will be available at 42 post offices in Bengaluru. The 48-hour Speed Post service guarantees delivery within two days (D+2) between the six metro cities Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad. This service will be available at all post offices of the city. These services will offer customers top priority handling at every stage of booking, processing and delivery, full postage refund in case of delay, OTP-based delivery confirmation provided as a bundled service with no additional charges, the India Post said.
