The Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K) has opened admissions for the 19th batch of its flagship Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) in Management, a two-year MBA for working professionals. Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM-K, underscored the enduring legacy of the programme in shaping future-ready leaders. Mr. Chatterjee highlighted the programme’s strong track record in fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment, including one of the highest levels of women’s participation across the Institute’s flagship offerings. He also drew attention to the changing global economic landscape and the growing importance of capabilities such as data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) in contemporary management practice. Last year, the 18th batch marked a significant milestone in IIM-K’s executive education journey. With 672 participants, it became the largest Executive MBA cohort in the Institute’s history. Women comprised 29% of the batch, representing the highest level of participation recorded so far. Designed to support leadership development and career progression, the EPGP combines the flexibility of interactive online learning at dedicated centres in participants’ cities of residence or work with the depth of immersive campus engagement over two years. With over 750 contact hours, the programme helps participants strengthen their understanding of core business functions, sharpen strategic thinking, and engage with emerging themes shaping enterprise decision-making. The curriculum also equips professionals to respond more effectively to economic shifts, technological change, and evolving market realities. In the first year, learners build a strong grounding in management fundamentals across four quarters, covering courses in areas such as finance and accounting, decision sciences and operations management, marketing, strategy, human resources and organisational behaviour, economics, and humanities, liberal arts, and management. In the second year, the programme moves into three semesters of advanced study, allowing participants to choose from a wide range of electives, including corporate strategy, digital transformation, AI for business, Gen AI, responsible AI, entrepreneurship, and innovation. The programme is delivered through an Interactive Learning platform and follows a dynamic pedagogy that combines lectures, case discussions, white papers, simulations, assignments, presentations, and masterclasses with industry experts.
