IIITDM Kurnool bags fourth spot in Inter-IIIT Sports Meet

The eighth Inter-IIIT Sports Meet 2026 (Indoor Sports) hosted by Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kurnool concluded on Saturday. The sports meet that began on April 2 witnessed the participation of 357 sportspersons from 15 IIITs across India.

Institutes like IIIT Sri City, IIITM Gwalior, IIITDM Kanchipuram, IIIT Dharwad, IIIT Allahabad, IIITDM Kurnool, IIIT Nagpur, IIIT Ranchi, IIIT Jabalpur, IIIT Pune, IIIT Tiruchirappalli, IIIT Raichur, IIIT Surat, IIIT Bhopal, and IIIT Vadodara participated in the meet. The participants displayed discipline, teamwork, and competitive spirit, making the tournament highly engaging and successful.

IIITM Gwalior emerged first in the overall institute rankings, followed by IIIT Dharwad, IIITDM Kancheepuram and IIITDM Kurnool at the fourth place.

IIITDM Kurnool Director B.S. Murty, along with IIIT Gwalior Director S.N. Singh, IIIT Allahabad Director Mukul Sutaone, IIIT Allahabad Registrar Mandar Subhash, and IIITDM Kurnool in-charge Registrar J. Krishnaiah were present at the valedictory function held on Saturday. They jointly presented medals and trophies to the winners and runners-up.

They also applauded the efforts of the organising team, faculty, and volunteers of IIITDM Kurnool for ensuring a smooth and successful conduct of the sports meet.
