A 20-year-old II PU girl student was found hanging in a government-run hostel in Gurmitkal of Yadgir district on Friday. Sources said that students found her hanging from a window grill of a study room where she is said to have been gone for studying. The deceased was studying in a private college and was staying in the hostel. She had written four PU exam papers and was supposed to write the remaining two papers. The reasons that led to the death are yet to be ascertained. Superintendent of Police Prutwik Shankar, Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Panchayat Lavish Ordia and officers of the departments concerned visited the spot for an inspection.
