I-T officials search premises linked to Karur DMK candidate

Income Tax officials on Sunday carried out searches on the premises linked to M. Thiyagarajan, DMK candidate in Karur constituency.

According to sources, a group of about 10 officials, who came by three vehicles, entered a handloom textile company at Athoor pirivu on the Karur-Erode main road in Andankoil around 5 p.m. They brought the entire premises under their control and carried out extensive search. It went beyond 8.30 p.m. No one was allowed to go out when the search was undertaken. Mr. Thiyagarajan is said to be a partner in the company.
