The Hindu Lit For Life 2026’s workshop – beyond the body, the philosophy of fitness and wholesome living was held on Saturday (January 17, 2026), hosted by a certified health and fitness coach Priti Chawla. It was literally a moving session as Ms. Chawla seamlessly incorporated various activities alongside her insightful words on holistic fitness. With an audience spanning multiple age groups, she engaged and addressed different segments with ease.

The session was divided into two segments – understanding the foundation of fitness and creating a sustainable body. Challenging the one size fits all routines, Ms. Chawla taught participants to prioritise body intuition over intensity. The takeaway: true progress is found in steady growth, not physical pain.

The session also saw a rigorous exercise session in the middle keeping the audience on their toes. The discussion acknowledged how exercise can be embodied into our daily life activities allowing people to introspect on what they can do to change their lifestyle.

Ms. Chawla broke down working out using five components – cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, mobility, body composition and what a difference incorporating this can make on your mind and body both. “This workshop was about moving with awareness, building strength with purpose, and understanding that true well-being comes from balance, not extremes” said Ms. Chawla.

The second half of the session informed the audience on how to stay in harmony with one’s body. It dived deeper into the mental side of working out. It educated people on the awareness needed to remain fit and healthy, which created a long term impact.

It was highlighted that working out should never stem from guilt, but from a place of love, respect, and care for one’s health. Using ten components — movement, mindfulness, cognitive health, food philosophy, digital boundaries, nature time, journaling and reflection, gratitude, purposeful check ins, community and connection, it was taught how a harmonious life can be achieved.

The session ended with a breath work session that refreshed people allowing them to leave with new perspectives on fitness and embrace healthy living.
