Parameshwara will lay the foundation stone for the construction of 36 residential flats for officers and police constables in Mangaluru’s Police Lane, on February 17. The new flats will house 24 personnel from Mangaluru city police and 12 personnel from Dakshina Kannada district police. These flats will be constructed by Karnataka Police Housing Corporation on the plot where a dilapidated structure was recently demolished. A foundation stone will also be laid for the construction of 12 new flats for police personnel in Uppinangady. Dr. Parameshwara will also inaugurate the new police quarters constructed in Moodbidri, the police said.
