The Kerala Higher Education Expo 2026, being held as part of the National Research Conference at the Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram, is showcasing cutting-edge research initiatives and innovations from over 50 institutions across the State.

The exhibition highlights the practical applications of academic research in diverse fields, ranging from neurodegeneration and marine sciences to digital technologies and sustainable agriculture.

Among the prominent participants is the Centre of Excellence in Neurodegeneration and Brain Health (CENABH) at Cochin University of Science and Technology. Recently awarded the Best Stall Award at the Kerala Science Congress, the centre is presenting its research on brain disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.

Digital University Kerala is exhibiting developments in artificial intelligence, blockchain and cybersecurity, with a focus on applications for public governance and societal welfare. The Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) has centred its displays on sustainable marine resource management and seaweed-based value chains, ahead of the International Seaweed Symposium scheduled to be held at the university in March.

Kerala Agricultural University is showcasing over 350 improved crop varieties along with climate-resilient farming technologies. The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) and Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (KELTRON) have set up stalls featuring space technologies and indigenous electronics, including traffic management systems and communication hardware.

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Thiruvananthapuram, is presenting a range of research projects, from eco-optics to biodiversity studies.

The expo is open to the public, and provides a platform for students and aspiring researchers to interact with scientists and explore research career opportunities.
