YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, alleging that the State Budget for 2026–27 is a “bundle of lies,” and has accused him of shielding irregularities in the supply of adulterated ghee.

Addressing the media at the party office on Thursday, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy claimed that the “nexus between Heritage Foods and Indapur Foods has been exposed” after evidence surfaced regarding inflated contracts and reversal of disqualifications.

He alleged that once Indapur’s name came to light, Heritage changed its status from a manufacturing unit to a co-manufacturing unit, and awarded a ghee supply contract at ₹650 per kg, despite earlier supplies at significantly lower rates. He further alleged that during the TDP regime, rejected ghee tankers had been accepted and favoured firms reinstated.

Referring to the Tirupati laddu controversy, the YSRCP president alleged that irregularities were rooted in decisions taken during Mr. Naidu’s tenure, citing “references in a CBI charge sheet.” He accused the Chief Minister of “dragging God into politics” to deflect attention.

On the Budget, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said revenue and expenditure estimates did not match, alleging inflated growth projections that failed to reflect in per capita income or living standards. He claimed allocations for welfare schemes were inadequate and beneficiary numbers were being reduced, citing a “drop in pensioners” and cuts in schemes such as fee reimbursement, Aarogyasri, and farmers’ support initiatives.

Alleging fiscal mismanagement and mounting debts, he asserted that the coalition government failed to honour its election promises.
