In Belagavi, Vijayapura and parts of Bagalkot, it rained for nearly an hour. Belagavi, Vijayapura and some other towns also received hailstones.

In Belagavi, a tree was uprooted in front of the Public Works Department’s Inspection Bunglow leading to a traffic jam. Police and Fire and Emergency Services personnel cleared it later.

There was some waterlogging in low-lying areas like Maratha Colony, Hindalga Road and Bauxite Road Cross.

Commuters had to wait under trees and in bus shelters before they could get home.
