The facility was inaugurated by Chief Executive Officer Anish Bafna in the presence of Sri City Managing Director Ravindra Sannareddy. Healthium Medtech has been operating in Sri City since 2012 through its SEZ unit, manufacturing sutures and meshes. With the expansion, the company will scale up production capacity from 1.3 lakh dozens to 2.8 lakh dozens per month. The expanded facility will manufacture wound closure devices, surgical sutures, meshes and other advanced medical products. Mr. Bafna said the expansion would help reduce dependence on imports and improve access to world-class medical technology for patients in India and overseas. He added that the company takes pride in its workforce, where women form the majority, reflecting its commitment to empowerment and inclusive growth. Mr. Ravindra welcomed the expansion and described it as a strong example of the growing healthcare manufacturing ecosystem at Sri City.
