Priests at the Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple in Tirupati carried the pearls in a grand procession on the ‘Ambari’ (a decorated seat mounted on an elephant) to commemorate the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Sita, on Saturday (March 28, 2026).

Officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) performed a special puja for the pearls in the treasury section of the TTD administration building. Later, the pearls were taken in a procession and presented to Ananda Kumar Dikshit, the chief priest of the temple.

Later, the pearls were taken in a procession, which reached the temple via Tirthakatta Street, Gandhi Road, Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple South Mada Street, and Bazaar Street.

Temple deputy executive officer Nagaratna, temple inspector Suresh, other officials, and a large number of devotees participated in this programme.
